I want to express how I feel but haven't tried
because words seem to be such empty containers
- like husk that is taken up by an idle breeze
I feel the touch of your lips upon my skin The intensity of love in your eyes I feel it through my closed lids as I listen to the mesmerising sound of your voice and we make love with our souls Sighs slide from the corners of my eyes My heart expands beyond the confines of my chest I feel its steady drum - a primal beat Love expressed in syncopated rhythm our bodies playing out the tune
When you sleep I watch your familiar face and trace the contours with a fingertip - a lambent touch as soft as a thought You stir. Perhaps I've touched your dreams You inhale and my breath expands your lungs My kiss lingers until you wake and reach for me again...
Girl don't you know I'm waitin' for my husband to heal up after his surgery? And you go and post a pic like this. . . (LOL) Yet the poem gives me somthing to keep the fires hot while he's under "reconstruction."
Chanti, there are no “empty containers” stored within the “vessel of love,” my gifted friend! This passionate piece exudes sensitivity, desire and has such enormous beneficial sensuality pouring across the page that one indeed would be filled to the brim with resurrection just to be held once again. Not so...these "empty containers."
You have a very passionate nature, it seems, and a very romantic
way of expressing it.

Indeed Chanti, that is the rhythem which has kept this troubled world and this miserable race alive. Making love with souls is an other beautiful stroke of your muse-brush which makes this poem a complete guideline for lovers. Very very impressive and romantic.
WOW, Chanti, I can't imgine where you got the idea that your words would be empty containers? You express yourself and your feelings so very well. True it is that emotions are difficult to capture with language, but with your words you have painted the entire picture from the physical, spiritual and emotional aspects of love and wrapped them into a package that brings back to life feelings of past moments long forgotten.

Chanti you created a masterpiece with this one. It whispers of love, romance and the promise of desire that will be consumated with your lovers awakening. The graphic although very erotic (got my juice flowing lol) is not necessary with this poem as the words are so perfect they make draw their own perfect image. Sweeeeeeet!
