A Unicorn

A Unicorn
~
Man, oh foolish man, how you do build
  a pyramid of dreams to reach the stars
And call down magic beams upon their lamps
  in accompaniment to jaded worn guitars
.
The dreams that shine within an orchid mist
  do oftimes make the elk a unicorn
When in a moody night such fancies kiss
  as seek to find a golden sunlit morn
.
On such a night the lamps of mystery
  can light the way to open up a door
The wraiths of firelight and fantasy
  whisper to you softly .. 'evermore'
.
Be careful, mortal, what you hold as dreams
   for dreams can fade so quickly when you wake
The unicorn that danced in clouds, it seems
   again becomes the elk out by the lake
.
But let me hold my dreams 'till shadows fade
  into the blazing, burning light of morn
And if the morn should end the masquerade
  let twilight bring another unicorn.

My Lepricorn tells me only fair madiens see Unicorns. So Should I stop looking? As for many years I have searched. Now Leppy tells me this.
