Babies are murdered

Canada ignores their deaths

- Stop Seal Hunting Now -

Embarrassed by international criticism, the Canadian government has vehemently denied charges that the annual seal hunt targets pups, but that government's own figures show that 96.6% of the 286,238 seals reported killed during last year's hunt were between 12 days and 12 weeks old.

It's the only major hunt, anywhere in the world, to target young animals.

So sad to think this still goes on! How can anyone kill a baby harp seal?? Doesn't make any sense whatsoever! It's ASININE!!

Holy jeeze - I, too, thought this practice was stopped decades ago. I can't believe we let this continue unchecked.

I'll never forget the pbs film with white baby seals on snow covered in blood as they were bludgeoned to deat, I cried like a baby and wrote to my congressman and the station at the time,how offensive it was.I too thought they had ended this horrific practice! Thanks for sharing Ed!

I'm cursing my ignorance! My god, Ed... I thought this had ended... I remember when people were spray painting the little sweethearts.. making their coats undesireable... This is very sad, Ed, but only one problem in the millions
that God is soon to rectify...His way. I would hate to be
one of those who comes under that particular 'club.'
Not only animals, but suffering humans are soon to benefit.

A canadian club, yes lies lies and damn lies, like the Ivory trade is illigle can't same be done with the seals??

It may not do any good, and we may be coming down to their level, but how about clubbing the seal clubbers and see how they like it? Or better yet club the Canadian government...Peace for Seals, Ed & rufuz

Ed, I watched a documentary on this and
I just couldn't finish watching it....
It was so darn bloody...I just hate what
they do....I am amazed that anyone can
do such an act...horrific....I know how
much you love animals...perhaps one day
they will be able to put a stop to it.
