Poem Artwork

To sit with a dog on a hillside

On a glorious afternoon

Is to be back in Eden,

Where doing nothing was not boring

-         It was peace.

                                      Milan Kundera

It is now the time

To emerge from seclusion

And smell those roses

It is now the time

To frolic in a meadow

In the noon sun

It is now the time

To listen to the songbirds

In the greening trees

It is now the time

To wander into the woods

Observing new life

It is now the time

To perch on a steep hillside

With your canine pal

It is now the time

To walk hand in loving hand

With your true soul mate

Rejoicing right now

In yet another new Spring

And its Miracles

I kid you not, Ed.. this little dumplin' has the same hairdo as I in my HS Grad. pic.. POOF! Jaysus.. my mom made me get it done. But that was eons ago and not why I'm here.. THIS is one, blissful, wondrous, precious step-into-spring poem. It makes me want to commune with nature while the air is still too crisp for mosquitoes yet warm emough to see the trees popping their buds. Sigh.. I love your heart! (I want that dog!) smile.... katy xox.

How precious!!! That doggie (it is a doggie, isn't it?)is one big
lump of Huggy.
And I love all the Spring things, too. Even on a cold, rainy day like today, I can look out my back door and see green sprouting in the
flower beds...and I smile widely.
This was lovely, Eddie!

Thank you for this beauty Ed...
Every year I welcome her..and cannot
wait to get outside....the winters are
long and spring is truly welcomed...
I love when all the tiny buds open
up ...like now...and smell the fresh air..
Loved your poem...now I will have to do
something today outdoors if it doesn't rain
again....which it looks like it will.....
hey that cougar is still loose...
