“I want Fruit Loops,

With Chocolate Milk…

AD Member Ed Matlack

“Oh, Feed, Ed; Please!

He told me that’s the only part of this poem he understands…

The food part…

So I doubt he realizes what trouble awaits him!”

AD Member Tinka Boukes

“Bailing out the men again,

I dunno,

An Angel’s work is never done.”

AD Member Kate Burnside

Angels Just Wanna Have Fun

The diabolical and extremely evil Dr. Squirm

Decided to grant Undercover Ed his last wish

He placed a huge bucket of Fruit Loops and Milk

Below Angel Ed’s head - then kicked over the dish

“HO HO HO!  Mr. Angel Ed,

There’s your last living request!

Too bad you can’t reach it now,

My wickedness is simply the best!”

“Oh, yeah?  Just wait Dr. Squirm,

My two angel friends are on the way;

I’d hate to be you when they get here,

Man, Oh, Man, are you gonna pay!”

Little did the diabolical Dr. Squirm realize

That Undercover Ed had cleverly tricked him

Ed knew that Kitty Kat Kate could smell milk

Anywhere – whether it was whole milk or skim

Suddenly Ed and Dr. Squirm heard a loud commotion

And George’s two angels suddenly burst into the room

They had already donned their ‘Ass Kicking Outfits’

And they now eagerly pounced on Dr. Squirm – Boom

Soon they had punched and pummeled him all around the cave

Soon they had karate chopped him in the groin and in the head

Soon they had kicked this nasty old villain into the glow-worm pit

And very very soon now – the diabolical Dr. Squirm would be dead

“It looks like this assignment is over, Julie.”

“And it wasn’t very difficult, Kitty Kat Kate.

But we really shouldn’t let that food go to waste,

It’s gotta be several hours since we last ate.”

Within seconds Angels Kitty Kat Kate and Julie

Hungrily devoured every last bit of Ed’s last meal

Then they hurriedly rushed back out of the cave

Before the still dangling Ed could even let out a squeal

“Yoo Hoo!  Kitty Kat Kate and Julie!

I think you forgot someone down here!

Hey!  It’s starting to get real spooky and dark…”

Man, what I wouldn’t give for a cold beer…

Gulp!  I wonder if there are any nasty bats or rats around,

And I sure hope my hair isn’t ruined, by the time I’m found.

This Angel business really makes a guy thirsty for a beer…

“OK! Damn it, Kate and Julie, get your butts back in here!”

(A Mysterious Voice is suddenly heard from the audience.)

“I say, Leave Ed there until next season’s episode.

Let him be the cliffhanger!”

AD Member Nordette Adams

“You know, I think Nordette’s right, Julie!

“Absolutely, Kate!”

“I’m still hungry.  Let’s go eat.”

“And then dancing!”

“OK!”

“Good Night, Angel Ed!!”

The End?!

My sincere gratitude to my friend, George Carroll, for the inspiration for this little series, and my sincere thanks to Angels Kitty Kat, Julie, and Ed for being willing participants in this writing exercise, and for their great sense of humor.

If Eddie M will continue "undercover" may I suggest a em... hmmm... er... a thicker dress?! (and I do think blue might be his color) ahem.

Cliffhanger, indeed! In the world of intrigue and suspense, may you flourish... so we can read it! (grin) You are amazing, Little Eddie. katy xox

Ed,

The way you collaborate with fellow authors and weave them into entertaining poems is so clever--this is MUCH better than TV. :) Enjoyed

Uh, excuse me ladies, but the blood is rushing to my head,
What I wouldn't give to be home and nestled warm in my bed,
Please don't leave me dangling here till the next episode,
ARE YOU ALL DEAF, HERE I AM RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, YES THIS IS...ed
