Sit right back and you'll hear a tale
A sad tale of a very fateful trip
That started from a Chicago port
Aboard this tiny ship

Aboard this tiny ship�

The skipper was a mighty sailin' man
The skipper was brave and sure
Three passengers set sail that day
For a little fun fishin tour

A little fun fishin tour�

But the weather started gettin rough
And this tiny ship was really tossed
If not for the courage of its skipper
The Catnip would have been lost

The Catnip would have been lost�

The ship finally took ground

On the shores of a tiny little isle

In the middle of vast Lake Michigan

But the passengers just would not smile

These passengers just would not smile�

The courageous skipper
Did his very best
To make the others comfortable
On their snake infested nest

On their tiny snake infested nest�

But these snakes were not happy either

And they started slitherin onto the ship

But the skipper bravely fought them off

And no one got snake bit

Absolutely no one got snake bit�

Soon luckily a huge passing pleasure boat
Saw them frantically waving through their tears
But in exchange for a ride back
Its skipper demanded all their beer

He demanded all their ice cold beer�

So now the three passengers

Who were truly ready to roar
And who were very thirsty
Were safely back on shore

They were all safely back on shore�

But they all swore that fateful day

They would now drink their beer on shore
Their fishin days were now sadly over

And they would sail with this skipper no more

They would sail with this brave skipper no more�

How come I can relate to this?! If I was one of these "faithful" crewmates, I would be the one unfairly dubbed the pirate, but with the sense to know when to leave the ship when it's sinkin, and swim for shore... has no-one else noticed that the "boat" has more holes in it than the Gorgonzola left out to catch the unsuspectin mice for dinner?! :)) Having a hubby whose idea of fun is to have the wife and two infants huddled screaming and burrowed down in the prow of a vulnerable little dinghy, while he sails as close to the wind as possible whilst tilting in all directions in a Force 8 gale, I think your little fishin trip would be one more time around the duck pond, Ed... but maybe Rebecca and I should swap notes, just to be on the safe side... Ingratitude's a Beautitude in some instances, after all! :)) ayeayeKaptin Kate xx
