My eldest cat, Buddy,

Always perches on my lap,

Whenever I write;

And he, like me, loves Western tales.

He even decided to write one,

Being inspired by AD’s own

Rufuz, the Dog.

So I present to you,

Buddy’s First Western Story:

- Showdown in Kittyville -

I guess it was along about sunset

When a stranger showed up in town

He was a real mean lookin hombre

Who was wearin one nasty ass frown

“Listen up now, everyone calls me Fat Louie;

Are you the yellow bellied law in these here parts?

Well, even if you are, you best get the hell outa my way,

Because right here on Main Street, I aim to poop and fart.”

“Now just hang on a minute, stranger,

Sheriff Buddy is what folks call me;

And you best mind your manners, son;

Littering Main Street ain’t exactly civility.”

Well it was just about that very time

Miss Kitty and her gals came strollin by

Fat Louie spun clear around in his tracks

He definitely had two womanizing cat eyes

“Evening, Sheriff Buddy!

And who’s this new very handsome Big Fellow?

Why dontcha come back to my business establishment,

The Catnip Saloon, for a drink, to make ya more mellow?”

“Well, Miss Kitty;

Don’t mind if I do!

I guess I can wait,

On my fart and my poo.”

And as the lovely Miss Kitty and her felines led Fat Louie away

Sheriff Buddy caught the loving gleam in gorgeous Miss Kitty’s eyes

She was very sweet on the old sheriff - who had the fastest paws in town

And even though Fat Louie didn’t know it – she had saved his big fat hide

Miss Kitty had not forsaken her darling

She knew he could have taken Fat Louie any time

But she didn’t want the brave sheriff to lose his appetite

He’d had a pretty rough day - fighting canine outlaw crime
