An Ancient Greek Comic

- Intro -

Many have heard of lovely Aphrodite

This ancient Greek goddess is their muse

But have you heard of his other daughter

She’ll be in your Sunday paper comic news

This is the story of the Greek Goddess Eileenodite

She was the other daughter of the Greek God Zeus

Many also do not know of her two very strange kids

And with their antics the mighty Zeus was not amused

The very romantic affair she had with the God Hades

Had produced a very wild and a very strange male child

She called him Bearodite since he was covered with thick fur

And prancing naked through the forest always made him smile

Goddess Eileenodite had another strange son with Poseidon

Named Sharkodite since he was covered with fins and fishskin

Mighty Zeus wanted to banish both of his bizarre grandsons

Threatening to cast them off the face of earth into the wind

But Eileenodite truly loved her two very strange kids

So she constantly begged her father to let them stay

Now the mighty Zeus had a very comical idea in mind

Whisking all three of them off to the future one day

They and their very ancient Greek temple home

Materialized in modern suburban America one day

And this is the story of the very strange O’Dite Family

And Eileenodite’s very strange suburban children at play

“Hey,Margie!  Have you met our new neighbor yet?

She has an Irish last name, but she really looks Greek;

 And have you seen those crazy outfits her kids are dressed in,

You just have to go over there, introduce yourself, and take a peek.”

“Fred, I already know more than I care to about our new neighbors;

Our son, Johnny, was over there yesterday swimming in their pool,

That nasty son of hers named Sharky bit our dear little Johnny,

And her other boy, Bear, likes to growl at everyone at school.”

It appears Eileen O’Dite may need some time adjusting

To her very strange new modern suburban surroundings

And with two bizarre children like Sharkodite and Bearodite

She now never knows what the next perplexing day may bring

“Momma!  Sharky just ate the neighbor’s lawn mower!

And he bit that kid Johnny again really really hard!”

“You are such a nasty little tattle tale, Brother Bear;

Momma, guess what Bear just did in their backyard!”

“I did not!”

“And, Momma, Bear chased the mailman again!”
