Seven times I’ve had this strange dream

In the past seven weeks so it would seem

And over the past seven long years it truly seems

I’ve counted seven times seven this eerie dream

It’s just before 7 PM and I’m in a huge clearing

It’s getting dark and seven voices I’m hearing

Suddenly seven men emerge from seven dens

I watch them march past me around seven hens

Soon seven women emerge to watch them go

Then they retreat into their seven dens very slow

I look to my left and soon spot seven large sheep

They are grazing very lazily on seven hills quite steep

As I look to my right I spot seven sets of wolf eyes

Then I soon peer up and see seven stars in the sky

Suddenly a distant clock tower rings out seven chimes

And seven huge barn owls hoot in unison seven times

This is where I always wake up in this mystifying dream

And I just can’t figure out what the hell any of this means

The Lucky Number Seven?

The Seven Deadly Sins?

The Seven Days of Creation?

The Seven Seals of Revelation?

The Seven Wonders of the World?

The Seven Realms of Heaven?

The Seven Sleepers of Ephesus?

The Seven Islands of Atlantis?

The Seven Openings in the Human Head?

Or The Seven Digits in a Telephone Number?

Perhaps I Need to Call Someone,

Or Perhaps This is Just a Very Weird Dream
