It’s been more than sixteen months

Since Hurricane Katrina arrived

And both humans and animals

Still need our assistance to survive

Many human residents have now moved away

Others are still living in trailers or apartments

Un-neutered abandoned pets are still starving

And they truly still need our support to be sent
