“Too late, I put him on me plate and ate...”

- Kids, Read With Mum -

This is the very very sad tale

Of a young lad from old England

Who loved ridin the merry-go-round

It always made him feel so very grand

And one very fine, but rather foggy, mornin

A wee birdy came to sing him a wee little song

This young lad from England was oh so happy

Right now in his world, there was nothin wrong

And would ye believe it, little lads and lasses

This wee little birdy even followed him on home

So now the young lad named Andy felt really good

And for his birdy friend, he decided to write a poem

But our young Andy from Maidenbower

Was also a very hungry young English lad

When his Mum made him porridge or stew

Boy oh boy, was this young Englishman glad

So as he got out his paper and his pencil to write it

And as his new little birdy sang a very sweet melody

Without even thinkin about it, the lad grabbed the bird

And before you know it, gobbled it right down with glee

But now, his wee little birdy friend was already in his tummy

There’d be no more lovely songs, which made Andy quite blue

So with several big teardrops rushin down his cheeks, he wrote,

‘That wee birdy was so sweet, I shoulda just eaten a little veggie or two’

The Moral of This Sad Tale:

Kids, Never Ever Eat Your Little Friends,

Ask Mum to Make You a Sandwich Instead

Or Maybe a Fruit Salad

Or, How about a Banana?

And For You Nature Loving Kids,

Andy’s Little Friend Was a Blue Tit,

A Very Lovely Little Garden Songbird,

That Most Folks in Merry Old England,

Would Never  Ever Think About Eating,

Except, Of Course, Our Hungry Little Andy

Such a Sad Sad Story,

And Now, I’m a Cryin, Too,

So I Guess I’ll Go Ask Me Mum,

To Make Me Some Vegetable Stew

Kool Write Ed
But Andy better not eat anything
He already looks sea sick riding
on that carousel
He's holding on for dear life
