“What lies behind us, and what lies before us,

Are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~

The sun was gloriously shinin

It was a lovely warm spring day

So I took my old bike in for service

And once again it was ready to play

There might be just a little rust on its throttle

But don’t let it fool ya about what’s really inside

There might be a little rust on my old bike’s throttle

But it’s one of those things that gets sweeter with time

And she was sittin there on our old porch swing

Lookin real lovely as I drove up our old driveway

And my ole heart was racin as she smiled sweetly

As she quickly climbed right inside and we sped away

We drove down the winding roads

Just me and my sweet lovin cutie pie

And together as we lovingly embraced

We watched the sun set in that big ole sky

I said, ‘Now here’s somethin real special,

It’s just been waitin for a night like tonight!”

And I pulled out a big old bouquet of flowers

Which filled her sweet old heart with delight

And not to be outdone by the likes of me

She pulled out a picnic basket and some wine

So after we watched that ole sunset together

Our little romantic getaway was quite divine

There might be a little rust on our throttles

But don’t let it fool ya about what’s inside

There might be a little rust on our throttles

But this love of ours is more than gen-u-ine

We’re still together and we’ve got lots of memories

And after all these years there’s one thing I’ve found

Some say good love - well it’s just like a fine old wine

It just keeps gettin better and better as the days race by

And so does this ancient old bike of mine

Antiques can still be useful and have appeal

A little rust never hurt anything or anyone

We are only as old as we let ourselves feel

The sun was gloriously shinin

It was a lovely warm spring day

So I took my old bike in for service

And once again I was ready to play

When iron oxide attachs to your hide,
lack of lubricant it must be!
So let your Lady's fingers linger,
coddle a bottle on your throttle...
of K-Y ... GELeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
