We have now over fished our seas

Making it extremely hard to meet quotas

Many commercial fishermen aren’t pleased

So now fish eaters like this dolphin

Are being gunned down off San Diego

In our callousness and our sheer gluttony

Many now say all these dolphins must go

In case anyone doesn’t know it

America’s salmon are disappearing now

So a plan to kill our sea lions is developing

Many now want to kill every last one somehow

In case anyone doesn’t know it

Cattle and sheep ranchers graze livestock on public land

They want to exterminate all prairie dogs on our grasslands

A massive annihilation of all of these creatures is now planned

Prairie dogs are a vital link in a very ancient natural food chain

They provide sustenance for the eagle, hawk, badger, fox, and ferret

Once all of these prairie dogs are exterminated, as they soon will be

The chain reaction disaster on these animals will be the very worst yet

Our leaders now cater to huge sport hunting lobbyists

Who want every single wolf and bear in America killed

Plans being made to take them off The Endangered List

Very soon, the great grizzly bear and the ancient timber wolf

Will disappear, the once vast forests now devoid of their calls

So that one wealthy, politically connected, sport trophy hunter

Can now display an even larger elk or caribou’s head on his wall

Our national parks are now being decimated and sold

Soon there won’t be a single wildlife refuge left in the U.S.

Our modern day greed and callousness has grown very bold

Very sadly the last remaining energy and timber resources

Are located in areas once designated for our wild creatures

Collecting every last fish wood and energy resource for profit

Seems to be mankind’s only true modern day goal and feature

Soon the case will be made to abolish protection for all animals

Far too many have decided that the earth is not big enough to share

Soon the natural world that had thrived for eons on earth will be gone

And very few who live on this planet these sad days even seem to care

Within the next 50 years, most of America’s wildlife will disappear

We have all truly failed very miserably at being the stewards of earth

For our legacy as the Destroyers of Creation, we should all shed a tear
