Chapter Three - Battle of The Eds

The Latest Exciting Chapter

In The Soon To Be Released

Epic New Comic Book Series

‘There Can Be Only One – Ed’

So Far,

The Following Eds Have Arrived,

To Claim Their Immortal Birthright,

From The Very Ancient Book of Ed:

Pee Wee Noah Ed - Mr. Ed;

The Old Jersey Devil – Ed Matlack;

Edvard The Elder – Edvard Georg Mateos

And Now, A Fourth Ancient Ed Has Just Arrived:

“Back Off, Ye Barbaric, Bumbling,

Blighter, Bloater, Brothers, Ed.

I Do Hereby Claim This Tiny Island,

For God, For Queen, and For England!”

Commodore Eddy Andy Jimmy Turner,

Aboard the HMS Invincible

We knew it would only be a matter of time

Before this brotherly British invasion began

And Lo and Behold, approaching in the flood

A most determined, ancient, British, Eddy Man

“Ahoy! Back Off, All You Barbaric, Bumbling, Blighter Eds,

By Divine Right, This Tiny Island Now Belongs to the British,

And any one of you Eds who stand in the way of this royal claim,

I, Commodore Eddy Andy Jimmy Turner, will fight to the finish!”

“Oh, Yeah?” quickly yells out the very sinister Jersey Devil Ed,

“Me and Pee Wee Kicked Yer Butt, Way Back in the Revolution;

Why do you think you can just barge right in here, and take over,

As if your showin up here, is gonna be any kind of ‘Ed’ Solution!”

“For your information, you uncouth pirate colonist, Jersey Ed,

I can summon the entire British fleet here, within several hours;

So I suggest that you three other Eds take your puny little vessels,

And leave Her Majesty’s New Colony, before I unleash my powers.”

By this time, Edvard The Elder is in a most terrible mood, yelling,

“Listen to this slick British Eddy, who thinks he’ll be the last Ed left,

“Well, Monsieur Brother Eddy, we last met at the Battle of Trafalgar,

And you haven’t been able to do away with me, Edvard The Elder, Yet!

Tell You What, My Ancient Brother Eddy, The British Commodore,

I’ll let your Queen stay free at my new resort, The Fair Maiden Spa,

As for Pee Wee, you are most welcome to bring any housebroken pets,

And Jersey Devil, you can stay, too, if you take a bath – HA, HA, HA!”

Alas, the die has been cast, centuries in the making,

And I very sadly knew this day was coming, after all;

Will this tiny oasis in the middle of these expanding seas,

Be a British Colony, Spa, Zoo, or Casino and Bingo Hall?

Here we are, all four born to be Eds,

Yet brothers, in this, our darkest hour;

Here we now belong, battling each other,

With our strange, mystifying, ‘Ed’ powers.

And Things Are Really Heating Up Now.

Ruff N’ Ready Rufuz says he’s already heard from

Several women named Edwina, Edna, and Edith,

Who Say They’re Our Long Lost Sisters,

And From a Cap’n Edwin Larson,

Of Malibu;

And Someone With E.D.,

An Ancient Medical Malady,

Says They’re in The Ancient Book of Ed, Too!

Poor Rufuz Sure Has His Work Cut Out For Him;

Only He Knows The Secret ‘Mark of Ed,’

And Who Wears It Where, On Their Bodies.

And He Ain’t Talkin.

(He Took a Sacred Oath of Silence.)

- Please Stay Tuned -

☺2007, Mr. Pee Wee Noah Ed

Excellent story telling dear bro ED, but ye have too many cooks spoiling the soup so Rufuz and I will just set off shore and wait until you all blow yerselves to smithereens and have the island to ourselves hahahahahahaha, Edwina (who has her own plans to make the Island a poets/writer haven;-)when all ye warrin river rats are drowned;-)

Be safe,

Bravo! LaddieEdbucks! I can't wait 'til the bloody, epic sea battle begins (suppose I'll have to buy the upcoming comic) Remember boys, he with the wind'ard tack usually has the advantage. Maneuver to broadside 'em Pee Wee and Give and take no quarter lad!
{this is bloody better than the Last Renaissance Man, book II, may never finish it now!)

Now I have joined into the fray

With Cap'n Red I'll sail away

Andy-Ed won't last a day

He too will fall to LaBelle's sashay

So buckle your swashes and hope and pray

She spares your heads, or they'll roll away

Andy will never get past Rufuz with this muse of his. He's not only from their side, he's not really an Eddy in th ebook of ED's. Perhaps as A miniature whirlpool or whirlwind resulting when the current of a fluid doubles back on itself or perhaps a relative of the famous of "real" ED's :Founder of Christian Science in 1866 (1821-1910)I'm watching that guy very carefully...Lady J

It would appear that the Ed's of the world have come to raise cane. Woops, maybe if they did raise cane, they'd be happier. Or, does this island have a sugar plantation, and they're really and truly going to "raise cane"?
I so enjoy this saga. Breathlessly [well, not exactly] I await the addition of the next "E."

I don't care how many split personality Eds there be knocking about in those waters, and just you's keep fighting in amongst yourselves in yor ruff-boy fashion while we ladies shimmy in through the secret channels you thereby leave totally unprotected... We are all good at swimming underwater, for one thing, and have enough bouyancy and air between us to stay submerged for days... THAT ISLAND'S OURS and our lingerie is already flying high all along its shores...or will be just as soon as we get there. And Turner, this is war... I never thought I'd see the day when we would cross swords. Ah-har!! LOL ;)) Kiera Kutglass Kitty Kate xx
