An extremely morose baby macaque

So very sadly abandoned by his Mom

This infant was about to give up on life

When a friend arrived he could depend on

They have now become inseparable

At a small animal sanctuary in China

This monkey now has a new lease on life

This very unique pigeon fills me with awe

Why can’t we bickering human beings

Be as compassionate as other creatures

Why can’t we put aside petty differences

And embrace each other’s unique features

Why are there so many examples just like this one

In the vast Animal Kingdom all around the world today

Perhaps, these are really some sort of Divine message

Reminding us of how we were supposed to live, His way

They are a very odd couple in every sense, but this monkey and this pigeon have now become inseparable.

The 12-week-old macaque - abandoned by his mother - was close to death when it was found on Neilingding Island, in Goangdong Province.

After being taken to an animal hospital, the monkey’s health was very poor, and he seemed totally spiritless - until this tiny pigeon soon came to his rescue.

Their very unique relationship has truly helped to revive this very forlorn, abandoned macaque, say staff at the small sanctuary.

And now, this very unlikely duo are never far from each other's side.

But that truly is, what friends are for.
