“Happy are those who dream dreams,

And are ready to pay the price,

To make them come true .”

Leon Joseph Cardinal Suens

It’s another one of my intriguing dreams

This one began right after Harvest Moon

These days, I dream of a Forest Gate

And now, I wonder if we will find it soon

And in this very vivid autumn dream

I’m always accompanied by old Turbo

He’s the most intuitive of my four dogs

So these days, with him into the wood I go

He hails from the deserts of New Mexico

His tracking skills are beyond compare

If there really is a mysterious Forest Gate

I know that he’ll somehow find it out there

But now I wonder, as we take our daily walks

Just what we’ll do, when we do find this gate

I wonder if it leads to some unearthly paradise

Or if demons from hell, at this gate for us await

Could it be the threshold to another dimension

Could it be the passageway to some other world

Could it perhaps be some sort of ancient star gate

If we open it, will the secrets of the universe unfurl?

And if old Turbo and I prove brave enough to enter it

And if the two of us are not able to return back here

I wonder if anyone will ever hear from either of us again

Or maybe we’ll mysteriously re-emerge this time next year

Another one of my very intriguing dreams,

This one began right after Harvest Moon;

These days, I dream of a black Forest Gate,

And now, I really believe, we will find it soon.

Wow! Almost like something out of the "Twilight Zone". Makes me wonder what will be found on the other side of the gate. Is the gate to keep something from getting out, or something getting in???

Be safe,
Karen

There are many forest gates to enter when you and nature spend quality time. She sure can give a roaring colorful sp0ectacular once you open that gate.
Beautiful!

follow your instincts...dreaming of forest is intuitive and gates are transitions in life...if you find it open you are ready, and if closed you are not...i'm with david...trust what lies beyond the gate and dream of perfect right place filled with everything wonderful

Dear Ed,

Your poem reminds me of "The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe" by C.S. Lewis. You ask some good questions about that gate and what may lie beyond it.

Love & Light always and in all ways,
Joseph*

Dear Ed, I do believe you and Turbo will find that black Forest Gate, when the time is right and not until. This is a writing that gave this reader much thoughts and visions of many interesting things that could be behind the gate's door. Will it be angels or devils or a place more beautiful than any you've ever seen before? Loved it!
