Traveling through my photo albums

On a very bitterly cold winter’s day

Always helps to take away boredom

Almost providing an ‘Instant Replay’

On this particular wilderness trek

We were heading off on a float plane

Miles into the vast Canadian wilderness

A true bird’s eye view of Paradise to obtain

The landscape below was magnificent

Not one trace of civilization down below

As we headed skyward over forests and lakes

On the now soaring wings of an eagle, did we go

And landing on a pristine lake’s water

Is a feeling that is truly hard to explain

Traveling to Earth’s unblemished places

Is something that has always kept me sane

It’s a feeling of being one with the Earth

It’s a feeling of truly appreciating Creation

It’s a feeling that our world is still all right

It’s one of life’s most memorable sensations

We now spent a glorious seven days exploring

Nature watching and fishing to our heart’s content

To me, the week felt more like a few mere seconds

But time enjoying Earth’s magnificence is well spent
