Tonight, will be a very special one for me

It’s the night of the ‘Sturgeon Full Moon’

It is also National Homeless Animals Day

And tonight, we’ll be howlin a birthday tune

Ancient Native Americans of the Great Lakes

Named this Full Moon – the Sturgeon’s Moon

Since by the light of this moon, they would hunt

The Nahma,¯ while listenin to the cry of the loon

Today is also ‘National Homeless Animals Day’

I’ve found a few of my critters, on this very night

I was bitten by an ancient werewife, many moons ago

But homeless dogs and cats, bring me back to the light

And, it’s Pee Wee Wolfman’s Very Ancient Birthday, Today

I’ll be out on the lake, in the moonlight, slurpin down some brew

The fish, and loons, and wolves, and other critters, always join me

But if you’re a normal human being, I’d be stayin home, if I were you

(My spouse has learned to stay inside;

Until dawn’s early light, she’ll hide.)

So Don’t Come ‘Round Tonight,

There’s a Full Moon, On the Rise;

And We’ll Be Raisin’ Some Hell,

At Least Until Dawn’s Early Light.

(Or Until We Run Out of Moonshine)

And Let’s Just Say,

I’m Older Than That Old Jersey Devil Ed,

And Younger Than That Old Vampire, Edvard;

Both of My Brothers Still Do All Their Slurpin, In Bed!

A Wolfman Can’t Be Held Responsible, If They Disappear Before The Election.

I have heard worvesa little more manly than the ones PeeWee offers in that "if you dare" they sound likea bunch of pigs with headache! and one of them echoes Jersey! ! !

lol sounds like a good night to howl at the moon and go politician hunting. Love this write. Love the Native Americans. My daughters and my granddaughter have Native American in them and all three know how to go on the war path. I'll be inside tonight just like your wife. Excellent write. Liz

Funny how I happened to be thinking about this homeless woman I gave a sandwich to last week. I was going to write about it, and opened my email, and there you were! Homeless is the word of the day here, and I didn't know it was homeless animal day! There are a lot of feral cats around here. And there are about four people I have seen this summer sleeping on the beach by my house.-(

Hope your hear the echo dear friend, It'll be howling happy birthday back at you, but never mind fishing for Nahma, there's none left, if you throw your hook far enaugh, and have some good wolf bait on it, you might catch one of these godforsaken politicians, roast them and feed them to your wolf pals, that be a great Birthday sitting around the fire and sharing with your friends, and ridding the countryside of that politacal vermin all at the same time. Enjoyed the sight, great write as well my friend. Brought a smile to my face a much needed smile. Thank you for your kind review this morning my heart is still heavy as Boomer has only been gone three days...still a great void in my heart, home, and life. Who knows what joy may wonder into my life to fill this void, I know when the time is right there will be a new friend who will need me as much as I need them.
