Well, Little Jack, you were a hard one
Makin me chase you, all over this town
You were afraid, of bein let down again
You were hesitant, to once again be found
You led me over some mighty high fences
And you led me through the tangled trees
You were all alone, and starving, and afraid
Believing that all men were cruel, including me
Yet, you kept on showin up at my backyard gate
You wanted the world to know you were hungry
But it took you forever, to place your trust in me
Your broken canine heart and soul, made you flee
But this Little Lost Jack, he finally did come to his senses
And he very nervously came inside, when I opened that gate
