-A Heartfelt Halloween Poem By Ancient Momma Ed-

“Even a Dung Beetle,

Is a Graceful Gazelle,

In the Eyes of Its Mother.”

An Ancient Ed Family Proverb

Thank You, Mr. Freaky Fee

For Inviting My Three Sons

Although they’re a tad strange

I want them to have a little fun

They really don't get out much

Halloween was made for them

It always makes it so much easier

For them to now mingle among men

My oldest boy, Edvard the Vampire

Just cannot seem to locate the right wife

My God, I think he has wed over a hundred

Him sleeping in a coffin, brings them all strife

As for my reptilian child, that old Jersey Devil

His father was wise old King Neptune of the Sea

But for some reason, Jersey hates the sight of water

You getting him to bathe for the party, brings me glee

As for my flea-bitten child, that little Pee Wee Wolfman

He’s been hanging around with critters since he was a boy

Although he has always lacked the social graces of a human

Being able to mingle with others at your party, brings me joy

So from this mother’s loving heart, Mr. Freaky Fee of Canada,

I am sending you my appreciation, and my everlasting gratitude;

PS: Can you possibly keep my sons up there with you for awhile?

Their constant bickering over the ages has made me crazy as a loon

With My Undying Appreciation,

A Most Thankful Ancient Momma Ed;

And Please Make Them Brush Their Teeth,

Every Night, Before You Tuck Them Into Bed!

And Please Give Old Jersey a Bath,

At Least Every Blessed Month or Two,

And Dousing Pee Wee With Flea Powder,

Should Make Your Life a Little Less Blue!

As for My Dear Old Edvard, Please Remind Him,

To Send His Dear Old Momma Some More Money!

What a MAMA she deserves 5 stars and a castle in Heaven. Dear Lord, she's a saint and an angel all tied into one...she spawned and rasied three sons that touched us all. Thank you Mama Ed. Love and hugs.
