Heartfelt Poem About Puppy Mills,
‘Hell On The Back Forty.’
There Are Far Too Many
Of These Prisoners In Hell,
All Across North America.
Both Male and Female Dogs,
That are Horrendously Used
As ‘Breeder Studs and Bitches’
Solely For Their Owner’s Profit.
He was born in a dark, vile, basement
A little over five horrendous years past
He had never even seen the light of day
It seemed that his hell would forever last
He had never received anyone’s attention
His days and nights were filled with fear
He had never even been allowed to play
His horrendous plight brought me to tears
He was finally rescued just a few weeks ago
Along with several other sad prisoners in hell
A group of very hardworking animal advocates
Diligently kept working so here he wouldn’t dwell
I was soon asked to help transport him
To his new adoptive home in Cleveland
I readily accepted this very simple task
Since Rodney was a soul extremely grand
My own loving mutts accompanied me
On our new journey to the state of Ohio
It was such a joy to watch all of them now
As they romped, and bonded, and played so
Rodney, the former dark cell inmate prisoner
Kept sticking his furry head out the window
He was finally joyous, after five long years
The cool fresh air truly made his heart glow
And this road trip happily ended in satisfaction and joy
As I soon watched Rodney meeting his new human friend
The instant bonding and the love, in both sets of their eyes
Meant that Rodney’s hell, had now finally come to an end
The Only Way To Stop This Hell,
Is To Adopt Pets From Shelters,
Not Buy Them From Breeders,
And Pet Stores, and Internet Ads.
If You Know Anyone At All,
Who Is Planning To Purchase
A New Dog or A New Puppy,
Please Tell Them About Rodney’s Hell.
Don’t Shop – Adopt.

I adopted a pound dog just days before he was to be put down. Through his sad eyes I could see into his soul of pain. I later found that he had been used as a fight dog for pit bulls to pratice on. When clipped for the summer, we found hundreds of scars from all the bits he received. This is the perfect dog, kind and attentive, not at all aggressive in any way...through all horrors he had to endure he managed to keep his true self.
Many puppy mills are finally getting shut down...as well as finding the fighting rings...these people, really monsters, are finally getting their just desserts. It's just not happening fast enough!!

Luckily for the dog, the lady called up Cesar Millan, the Dog Whisperer, so they could both correct the dog's insecurity about humans.
What a horrendous life it must have been in the lab, to be taken out just for the purposes of the test, and not to have walks and loving care by the lab handlers!!!
