It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Here at our old home at Thornwood Manor
We decided to go all out this year decorating
We’ve even put garland on all its old banisters
And the old maple outside our house
Now has some really festive ornaments
But my wife just can’t seem to figure out
Where all her many stocking stuffers went
And our many resident critters around here
All seem to be in an extremely festive mood
But my lovely spouse is just a tad bit perturbed
Since they have all been raiding the Holiday food
But it is beginning to look an awful lot like Christmas
Both on the inside and the outside of our grand old house
My spouse had even prepared some Christmas cheese delights
But wouldn’t you know it, they were purloined by our tiny mouse
And please don’t mention those pumpkins she collected
She had been planning on baking wondrous pumpkin pies
But our wily old raccoons and opossums already ate them
Which I guess, even to her, is really not a very big surprise
But God help me and all of our many critters
When my spouse finds out about our old moose
He seems to have helped himself to all the veggies
There just might be a Mean Tall Woman on the loose
But it really is beginning to look
Like a very grand old Christmas Holiday
Around here at good old Thornwood Manor
And neither of us would have it any other way
So, from our home, to yours,
We wish you a wondrous day;
A Christmas filled with Peace,
Hope, Joy, Kindness, and Play.
