Unlike most human children
Cats love very inexpensive toys
Even a discarded cardboard box
Brings them hours and hours of joy
A few weeks ago, an empty box
Became Billie the Kid’s Hideaway
And soon, his three siblings joined in
Now, they all entertain me, every day
Fortunately, my wife drinks lots of Pepsi
And they seem to like their boxes, the best
I’ve been building a new box city for them
And they now relish it, with such joyful zest
All four of them now spend hours each day
Zipping in and out of their new playground
And it hasn’t even cost me even a single cent
But their Box City is growing by leaps & bounds
Mean Tall Woman has already begun her complaining
I now seem to be stacking these boxes, all over our home
And now, both our adult cats and these four newborn kittens
Are all delighted with their ever growing cardboard box domes
And now, just like my dogs very cherished kitty pools in the yard
My wife is now extremely determined to haul them all off to the trash
She’s already calling me by some of her extremely nasty nicknames again
But I’ve promised both my cats and dogs, I will defend their toys to the last
And I probably won’t be able to go to sleep now, for some time;
She’s extremely sneaky at night –it’s her favorite time for crime.

I loved this. I can identify so well. My cat loves to sleep in pepsi boxes. When we got her, we got a fancy cat house, she hates it.
I had an old stuffed animal she's been carrying around forever. When she was a tiny kitten I gave it to her, she's nine months old, and still carries that darn thing!
