Animal abandonment is a terrible thing. Its something that is out of control and needs to be reduced. Pets deserve a home to share their unconditional love in.

Times are tough yet I don't think that is what makes people not train their pets to stay home where they are safe. People don't realize that it's their resonsibility just as with a child to teach it and care for it. Very sad, yet I'm so glad there are people like you out there making a difference. LadyJ

What we don't want, we get rid of - our pets, our children, our elderly - we must not value life very highly. Oh, and when things too hard to bear, or deemed not convenient, we get rid of that, too. :( Such a shame.

I think compassion must come from experience a knowing of how it feels, Georg said it well. Many have become so jaded in their feelings and attitudes, no wonder so much suffering is happening!

When man feels desperate of his situation of abandonment...can't he think about the desperate situation of abandonment his pet will feel when thrown out from the only home it knew?

People have stopped learning how to care, to love. Sad! Heartbreaking call for action; if I could I'd adopt a kitty of my own to love! I would never think of putting my kitty outside without food or water, especially in these hot Texas summer days; to do so would be cruel!

THANK YOU for writing this MUCH NEEDED write. So many animals are roaming the streets, no food, no water, no shelter, discarded by their owners for some unknown reason. I have a small dog that I cherish and would never think of putting him out. I feel for the ones who aren't loved. I hope this causes someone to THINK before they act.
