While My Old Brother Edvard,

Battles Ma, and The Red Queen;

I’ve Got Some Problems of My Own,

And This One, Makes Me, Want to Scream

I awoke in the middle of the night, in a horrid sweat

But it wasn’t ghosts or goblins, that had awakened me

Visions of scrumptious prey, were tormenting my mind

My urgent craving was overpowering, and horrendously real

I soon found myself wandering out, into the dark, eerie night

And rushing through the deep, dark, forest, to the nearest town

And now, I suddenly found myself in the worst tragedy imaginable

No matter where I searched in the city, not one victim could be found

By dawn’s light, I was completely famished and exhausted

As I now felt someone vehemently shaking my body awake

“Hey! Wake Up, Wake Up! You very silly husband of mine,

You’re having another terrible nightmare, for Heaven’s sake.”

As I now slowly sat up in bed, in an eerie state of confusion

I eventually began to realize, that it had just been a bad dream

But when I rushed downstairs, to devour my needed sustenance

There was not one single victim left in our entire house it seemed

Who could have dared to eat my cookies, I now wondered

As I wearily got into my old truck, for the long drive to town

Had my pets, my spouse, or our crafty little mouse, eaten them

Or perhaps, even worse, could a very evil cookie thief, be around

I thought I had managed to put all of my cookie cravings, behind me

But now, I suddenly began wondering, if they were starting up, again

I have no fear of ghosts, goblins, and/or things that go bump in the night

But a wretched life without my needed cookies, might truly bring my end

There Better Be Cookies, on Halloween Night,

Or There’s Surely Gonna Be Some Hell To Pay;

I Better Call Ma, And Ask Her To Teach Edvard,

How To Bake My Favorite Cookies, Right Away.

I'm tellin' ya cookies are a fool's errand. Pizza Pizza Pizza!

I would like to blame Edvard but I think he has his hands full
My friend the rat couldn't have done it, for it seems Patrick Granfors used him for his pizza toppings
I would however keep my eye on the Mouth, I hear she has a sweet tooth

In fact me being locked up all started over a candy bar

Good luck on the cookie run
