Frosty, The Pumpkin

“We fancy men are individuals,

But so are pumpkins.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

I brought this pumpkin home

Right before Halloween night

And, he greeted Trick or Treaters

With such devilish Pumpkin delight

But then, a really strange thing happened

He didn’t start to decay, like other Pumpkins

I usually cut them up, and feed them to the birds

But Frosty, didn’t seem to want to meet, that end

So, I carried him out to our old backyard table

Where he now seems very content out in the snow

I guess he wants to find out what Christmas is like

But how long he’ll stay with us, I really don’t know

And, as the temperature dropped, I felt sorry for him

So I gave him this extremely warm old Kris Kringle hat

And there he now sits, as he greets yet another new day

Frosty, The Pumpkin, has a smile, like The Cheshire Cat

And the many birds in our backyard really seem to like Frosty

As they all now flock around our backyard table, in sheer elation

But my wife doesn’t like him, because he smiles at her all the time

She claims that Frosty gives her an extremely odd, creepy sensation

But I’ve told my spouse that we should get Frosty a present

He, too, should get a Christmas gift, like each of our other pets

But she thinks Frosty is up to no good, like the nasty old Grinch

Oh, what to get an old Pumpkin for Christmas, I have no idea yet

Unlike my doubting spouse, I believe Frosty is a very jolly old soul,

With his Kris Kringle hat, and that big old smile, on his pumpkin face,

And I hope he sticks around a very long time; I’d sure hate to see him go.

Unlike Mean Tall Woman,

I’ve Grown Very Fond of Our Old Frosty;

But What Do You Get a Pumpkin, For Christmas??

ED -

I would boldly suggest a three-fold Christmas present ...

1. carve two TEETH!
2. name him ADAM!
3. get him a Mate - EVE!

TK.

Really Kool write Ed
May I suggest buying
Some pumpkin seeds to begin (roasted)
the birds will like that and keep them away
from devouring your new found pal "The Pumpkin"
Peace be with you and your Pal the Pumkin

Smiling all the time will get you in trouble, I hope you don't do it too often to other Mean Tall if you don't want to slip on that wonderful snow of yours.
