Another Poem About Our Newest Canine,

Little Jack, Who Had Been Callously Dumped,

In a Nearby Park, To Now Fend For Himself.

“The Waiting,

Is The Hardest Part.”

Tom Petty

Unlike our feisty felines

Our mutts all know, ‘Wait’

And, although it’s very hard

They all wait, for Christmas Day

All five, know they have a stocking

All five can smell, what awaits in them

But Little Jack, doesn’t trust the others

He’s now camped out, ‘til the very end

Our little Blanca, had once been like Jack

She, too, had been homeless, and starving

But, after many years, of love and affection

She’s content, with what Christmas will bring

But Little Jack has only been with us for awhile

On those mean streets, he’d fought for his meals

So every night now, he sleeps under his stocking

He guards it, with diligent determination and zeal

These days before Christmas, I now watch him

And, it touches my heart, to see him camped there

I have to wonder, what this once homeless dog dreams

But I’m extremely happy, that he now has far fewer cares

May you and Little Jack share countless joyful adventures in the coming years. My neighbor's Katrina rescued dog, named Yoda, has taken three years to trust me. We now go rock collecting together in the surrounding open fields. The throw-away mentality of our culture is pitiful.
Bless you and your family, Ed!

Awwwww, what a little angel to bring into the fold. He will soon come to realize how lucky he is to have crossed your path, but I guess you already know that, huh? God blessed him. God bless you for being there. A Very Merry Christmas to all and maybe an extra hug and kiss for "Little Jack".

Be always safe,
Karen

PEE-WEE ...

ONLY 5 STOCKINGS? I THOUGHT YOU WERE HOUSING A 'HERD' UP THERE!

ONLY 8 MORE DAYS FOR JACK TO MAINTAIN HIS VIGILENCE ...

I DO ASSUME THO' - THAT HE GETS 'TREATS' FOR HIS DILIGENCE!

PEACE, MY FRIEND ... TOM.
