It started fallin yesterday
And I really didn’t mind
It was lovely to behold
The light and fluffy kind
So, I did a little shovelin
Cleared the walk and door
When I looked out, at Noon
Still snowin, more and more
This was definitely a job, for two
I hounded my wife to shovel, too
By dinner time, we were still at it
But this snowstorm, wasn’t through
I looked out our window, at Midnight
And that snow, it was still a comin down
But I can’t remember where I left my wife
So I raced out into the yard, lookin all around
I’ve managed to locate Frosty the Pumpkin
And I soon dug out our rat terrier, Little Jack
But I’ve only been able to find my wife’s boot
But I’m confident, before long, she’ll be back
She probably snuck off to the mall,
And forgot to wear her snow shoes;
But I really hope she shows up soon,
I’m gettin The Hungry Shovelin Blues.

That is one thing I don't miss about the northeast
"shoveling snow"
We are still here in the beautiful state of Georgia
For another few day before returning south,
we are presently under a state of "emergency"
in the Atlanta Metropolis area,
Yesterday they had 1 to 2 inches of snow
I nice sheet of whiteness to decor their
Manicured lawns.... but the roads are icy and dangerous
they (the Municipal surrounding Government) possess no plows, no salt
spreaders, nor any inclination on how to cope......
I rather be snow bound in a cabin in the middle of nowhere
under 2 feet of snow, and I would feel more secured......
