A lone wolf and a female bear
Crossed paths one day, long ago
They had both given up, on love
They were both walking, all alone
But something magical soon happened
When their eyes first met, in that wood
So now, they began dancing on, together
They had discovered ‘together’ was good
They have been together now, for many years
Through both many good times, and many bad
But, they have both realized, through the years
‘Together’ makes them happy, ‘Apart’ very sad
They still maintain their individual personalities
Neither have attempted to change, the other one
They both discovered long ago, diversity is good
But when they are together, they always have fun
These days, the old wolf man and the old bear woman
Still dance on, enjoying nature’s magnificent wonders
And, they still often stop along the way, to give thanks
With an everlasting love, that never attempts to smother
Happy Valentine’s Day, To My Old Bear Woman,
From Her Admiring, Most Grateful, Old Wolf Man;
And Today, I Don’t Think I Could Walk On, Alone,
Both Your Very Presence, and Your Love, Are Grand.
