Today is Brother Edvard’s Birthday,
So, Tiger Lily, Old Jersey, and Me,
Have Gotten Together, and Written,
This Heartfelt Sibling Birthday Melody:
“That's life - that's what all the people say,
Our old Ed Family, is ridin high in April,
And then, we’re always shot down, in May:
But our Ed Brother knows he’s gonna change that tune,
When Edvard’s back on top, he’s back on top this June.
He said ‘that's life’ - and as funny as it seems,
Some people still really get their kicks,
Stompin' on an old Ed Brother’s dreams:
But Edvard don't let it, let it get him - down,
'Cause this ol' world, it keeps spinnin around.
He’s been a soldier, a sailor, an artist,
A poet, an author, and a vampire king;
He’s been up and down, and over and out,
And we three siblings, we all know one thing:
Each time that he finds himself, flat on his face,
He picks himself up, and he gets back in the race.
Man, that's an Ed’s life,
We tell ya; he can't deny it;
He even thought of quittin, baby,
But his heart, it just wouldn’t buy it:
And, if he didn't think it was worth another try,
He’d jump right on Big Bird, and then, he’d fly.
And today, he’s a Metallic Woman Puppet Maker,
He’s sellin them, to all those lonely guys, on E-Bay;
Big Bird claims that he’s makin a fortune with these,
And since he’s gettin his cut, Big Bird’s real happy, today.
But Hey, Brother! What about your dear old brothers, Pee Wee and Jersey?
And your extremely dear sister, Tiger Lily, Wishin You This Happy Birthday?
So, how about, if you cut us three in, on your brand new money makin enterprise,
Dear Old Brother Edvard, since we’re sendin this Happy Birthday Wish, your way!”
