“I don’t generally feel anything until Noon,
Then it’s time for my Nap.”
Oliver Wendell Holmes
Spring chores had made me dog-tired
So, I decided I really needed a cat-nap
But when I got to my favorite lounge chair
Upon it, I quickly found, three napping cats
So, I then decided that I would head upstairs
A little cat-nap in bed, now sounded pretty nice
But when I got there, I found three napping dogs
They gave me the Evil Eye, their stares cold as ice
So, I now trudged back on down to the old back porch
Where I had very cleverly placed a real comfy old couch
But Lo and Behold, that’s where I found my napping spouse
She was sound asleep, if I dared wake her – What a Grouch
So now, I wearily headed out to my trusty backyard lounger
Where to my dismay, I found good old Turbo Dog fast asleep
I now decided that there was only one place I might get a nap
And soon, down our quiet, dark, old basement steps, I did creep
And I was finally in luck, not one other living soul was lurking about
So, I very quickly gathered all the many dog and cat beds I store here
About once a month, my spouse rushes out, and buys another ‘pet bed’
“I just know that the dogs and cats are really gonna love this one, Dear!”
“Oh, I’m sure they will, Sweetie…”
But, At Last, Nap Time, For Me
(And these pricey dog and cat beds are actually pretty comfy,
If you string five or six of them together on a hard concrete floor.)

Mans best friend until nap time. I can relate. Gotta love your backup plan. Patrick

This was great. Being the owner of many animals myself, Iknow where you're coming from. When I nap, and they're in my way, I put them on my stomach. Well, whatever works! I have to show this to my husband, he'll die laughing!
