"I am now very concerned

About this filth in the Gulf of Mexico.

It is not a spill, it's a flow.

Envision sort of an underground volcano of oil,

And it keeps spewing over 200,000 gallons,

Every single day, if not more.”

Florida Governor Charlie Crist

Who Had Advocated Offshore Drilling, in Florida;

But Who Now Says That He Has Always Opposed It.

Another truly horrendous week, now begins

With very little hope, and with no end, in sight

Dead sea turtles, already washing up on our shores

God only knows, what new horrors await each night

Fishing waters in the Gulf, have now been closed to all

Entire family livelihoods, now being ravaged, by this oil

Numerous types of endangered wildlife, are now perishing

Yet, many still want us to ‘Drill, Baby, Drill’ for more spoils

This may be, the worst environmental disaster, in our nation’s history

Yet once again, our leaders have let Big Business, have their merry way

I, for one, am so sick and tired of our nation’s extremely callous attitude

And, I very sadly wonder, how many of us, have learned something, today

May God Almighty, Now Forgive Every One of Us, and Save Our Nation

From Ourselves, Big Business, Bungling Bureaucracy, and Pompous Politicians

And Today, I Very Sadly Wonder, How Much This Will Cost, Each of Us

Before This Horrendous, Environmental Disaster, Finally Comes To an End

Another truly horrendous week, has now begun,

With very little hope, and with no end, yet in sight;

Dead sea turtles are already washing up on our shores,

God only knows, what new horrors now await, each night.

“Don’t Worry, America;

We’ll Get This Oil Flow Stopped,

Within Two to Three Months.”

The CEO of British Petroleum

When man go for cheaper solutions he will get, in the long term, costly problems. We have seen it in all walks of industrial life, when planning only goes to please the shareholders it is the rest of us the ones getting the bill for cleaning the mess afterwards.

It is a drab picture you paint and the worse part is it is all coming to pass in our lifetime. Wake up America.
God bless us all. We all need it.

Have you noticed that the Gas & Petroleum lobby has pulled back it's advertising since this mess started.

Soon there will be no oceans and then where would mankind be? Our food is dwindling, our population is growing and so isn't the greed..
I want to go live on a reservation and just be one with the Great Spirit...this is horrible simply horrible!

Much peace,love and light,

This is so very tragic! Money and greed over common sense....it was never a question of "what if"....merely "when"....and now the hurricane season is upon us once again! My heart goes out to all lifeforms along the coasts that will be devastated by this unbelievable horror!
