I have been spending my time lately
In observation of ‘the miracle of life’
Three extremely tiny, furry, newborns
Who have brought joy to me and my wife
Each and every day now, they get just a tad bigger
Each and every day now, we appreciate ‘life’ more
Each and every day, we watch Lupita care for them
We are grateful, they are now all safe, inside our door
Two extremely tiny males, and their very tiny sibling sister
Who will all very soon, be opening their eyes to the world
We now sit and wonder, what their first impressions will be
When their eyes do open, and a whole new world will unfurl
I was extremely privileged, that I got to assist in their delivery
Soon, I will have the privilege, of watching them, romp and play
The ‘life’ that we all have been blessed with, on this planet of ours
Now continues to fill me with awe and admiration, every single day
I have been spending my time lately,
In observation of ‘the miracle of life;’
Three extremely tiny, furry, newborns,
Who have brought joy to me and my wife.
