Dedicated To All The Abandoned Dogs,
Especially ‘Pit Bulls’ Who So Many Hate;
I’ve Helped Rescue Many Very Loving Ones,
And This One, Deserves A Much Better Fate.
A mother and young son were leaving a playground
When a menacing man approached them, with a knife
“Don’t make a sound; give me your money and car keys”
The mother now immediately feared for her young son’s life
Before she could even react, or do what this mugger now demanded
A very compassionate Pit Bull now mysteriously appeared on the scene
This canine immediately put himself in harm’s way, and charged the man
The mugger now quickly fled in terror, and soon, was nowhere to be seen
The remarkable part of this remarkable story is that this abandoned dog
Now quickly jumped into this woman’s car waiting for the police to arrive
Since this dog was a stray, he was eventually taken to a local animal shelter
And thanks to him, the mother and son he defended, were happily still alive
This extremely courageous homeless canine has been named ‘Angel’
And the two complete strangers whom he saved, now plan to adopt him
I sincerely hope this brave homeless dog now receives the love he deserves
Guardian Angels come in many forms, and dogs truly amaze me without end

Pete's real name was "Pal," and he was owned and trained by Harry Lucenary. The distinctive circle around his eye was originally unplanned. When the spunky pit bull made his "Our Gang" debut, a circle had been painted around his eye and would not come off.
