Which were held yesterday, all across the USA
This is the only way, to stop pet over-population
Nearly 7 million American pets are homeless, today
More than half of these homeless pets, won't be adopted
They will so very sadly and tragically, soon be put down
Unless many more pet owners, start utilizing spay/neuter
There will be thousands more unwanted pets, in every town
In some communities, as many as 300,000 homeless pets, are now euthanized
Because their pet owners don’t spay or neuter, and they let their pets roam free
They don’t care very much at all, that their own pets impregnate someone else’s
This results in a never-ending cycle of unwanted pets, of all types and all breeds
You can help curb our nation’s tragic and massive pet overpopulation problem
By getting your own pets spayed and neutered, and by adopting your next pet
You can also get involved in TNR (trap, neuter, and return) feral feline programs
And, you can volunteer at local animal shelters, there’s a lot of work to be done yet
With your help, perhaps we can save another life or two;
The number of us attempting to help them, is far too few.

You do such a wonderful service to remind people of our four legged friends. I live in a town where the feral population is overwhelming, and the Humane Society has no more room. It is a sad thing we do these lovely animals. Thank you for caring. I've managed to adopt 13 feral cats and 'domesticate' them, but we've so far to go as you say. Ironically, our city council has adopted a new resolution..no one is to feed feral cats. Guess I broke the law. Tough.
