Yet another ‘left behind’ little dog
Abandoned by us, to fend for herself
Neglected, by we callous human beings
Yet another of man’s best friends, in hell
This starving dog had been wandering the forest
She arrived at a Canadian nursing home, one day
She was literally dropped from the sky, at their door
She was deposited there, by an enormous bird of prey
Not only are far too many pets starving these horrific days
But wild predators, cannot find food, in nature’s food chain
Very luckily, for this little poodle, this hungry bird, dropped her
She now had broken ribs and deep punctures and agonizing pain
Little Miracle May, was rushed to a veterinary clinic for treatment
She also needs extensive dental surgery so she can enjoy food again
They are calling this stoic survivor: ‘The Little Dog With a Big Heart’
She will soon be up for adoption; hopefully, her ordeal now at an end
We are finding far too many throw-a-ways like her, out there, these days
I also know several people who have lost their pets, to hawks and coyotes
Please safeguard your own small dogs, cats, and kittens, from wild animals
Most of these plucked little pets, will not be nearly as lucky, as Miracle May
So many today still arrogantly maintain that we are not destroying our planet
But today, more and more predators, are being forced, to hunt ‘pet animals’
We are greedily decimating their natural habitats, and ‘killing off’ their food
They have less and less places to live and to hunt; we are rapidly, taking it all

Animals are amazing creatures, humans are a tad more loutish

exactly but it doesn't matter because we're
callous bastards anyway and our destruction
has ruined it for the rest.

So many dogs are being abandoned today because there owners can't afford to keep them anymore. Another fact of our countries sad economic state. Amazing story about the large bird bringing May to safety! Thanks for sharing this Ed. I, for one, am pleased that you did. Joy L. Hale
