Oh Ed, I am so sorry I missed this since we have been waiting for his return for a long time. He will certainly be missed very much and you are right, it will never be the same without him. I pray that he has now found peace...

I am so sad since I have heard the news. It is a good thing to finally know. It was a long wait but somehow I always knew he did leave us.
He is certainly all that you say in this poem, but especially to all of us he was the Father of the Den. It definitely has not and will not ever be the same without his charm and love.
I feel his energy all the time and I know that he is at peace.
Thank you for such a beautiful tribute to one amazing crazy man!
I just cannot bring myself to write about him yet, I am too choked up inside.

So sad; I figured Georg Mateos had died; we hadn't heard hide nor hair of him in quite a while. Sorry to hear that this has been the case. He will be missed by many here in the AD family; I know I lost a valuable friend who always had nothing but praise or encouragement for my writing. That meant a lot to me. Still does. Beautiful tribute to a true hero! He will be missed greatly!

Ed, thank you for sharing this information. Like so many of our Denmates, I had often wondered what had become of Georg, knowing full well that this was the likely reason we were no longer being blessed by his fantastic works. He was a real asset to all of us who shared his passions. He has been and will continue to be missed here on the Den. Dick
