A Very Sad Follow-Up To ‘The Bloodbath Has Begun’
And Why We’re Now Murdering Everything In Our Path
Including Once Protected Wolves, Bears, and Wild Horses

The longer I listen to today’s politicians
The sadder I become for future generations
Today’s lobbyists now get them to say anything
Corporate greed decimating the grandeur of our nation
It’s one thing to say that the timber companies, want to level our forests
Or that the cattle ranchers, want all wildlife, removed from our public lands
Or that the gigantic oil and gas companies, want to blow up our mountaintops
But instead, their political mouthpieces now say: America’s beauty is not grand
There is a bill before Congress to strip away protection for 50 million acres
Of some of the most beautiful, god-given, wild areas remaining in our nation
Why? So today’s billion dollar corporations, can make billions of more dollars
Our leaders, giving away our nation’s grandeur, for political contribution elation
It is truly absurd and insulting to have to listen to our politicians proudly proclaim
That a majestic mountaintop in the Rockies, is ‘unsuitable’ for protection anymore
Or that the ancient beauty of our Grand Canyon pales, in the light of uranium mining
Or that the glory of a crystal clear blue lake in a pine forest in Minnesota is now a bore
These 50 million acres that our forefathers saw fit to revere and to protect, for posterity
On today’s corporate profit sheets are now somehow deemed ‘unsuitable for wilderness’
At the rate our so called representatives of the people are giving away our nation’s majesty
Our children and our grandchildren, will awaken one sad morning, and nothing will be left
Even more horrifying and insulting to Americans like me
Is the fact most of these corporations, are foreign owned
Our so called ‘leaders,’ now controlled, by foreign invaders
Happily helping them, destroy the majesty of their own home
In case you’re interested, this masterpiece of legislation
Is called the ‘Wilderness and Roadless Area Release Act’
Once it’s passed, we will lose 50 more million acres of beauty
And future generations of Americans, will never get them back
“This political ‘Great Outdoors Giveaway’ is a blank check
To corporate polluters to destroy our land, air, water, and wildlife,
And it flies in the face of values we, the American people, once all held dear:
That we should treasure, not squander, our majestic lands, waters, and animals.”
