I recently rescued a dog on the street
Who had been mauled, like Stallone
And today, he is a most grateful dog
Unlike Stallone, he got his loving home
So many people still ask me why I do what I do
And it’s animals like Stallone, that break my heart
Like Ace in Detroit, all he had wanted was a friend
Who would love him, and give him a brand new start
When his rescuers came upon Stallone, they were heartbroken
Such a sweet canine, with such horrendous wounds on his face
Yet, his tail was still wagging, and he showered them with kisses
His gratitude was enormous as he was carried from this death place
Although Stallone had finally been rescued from his agony
His wounds were too severe, and he very sadly lost his life

It is up to all of us, to stop animal abuse, and these dog fights
And this will not take place, unless many more become their advocates
Who now demand, that harsher penalties are imposed, for animal cruelty
These animals cannot vote, or contribute any money to political campaigns
So it’s up to all of us to speak out for them, and make elected politicians see
I very recently decided to apply as a court-appointed animal advocate
Who will speak for canines like Stallone, at animal cruelty court cases
I believe it’s the right thing to do, since they can’t speak for themselves
I’ve seen too much man-made agony, in too many canine eyes and faces

THEY APPLY TO THE ANIMAL KINGDOM ALSO. THEN, ABUSED CRITTERS LIKE STALLONE MIGHT 'GET EVEN' BY HAUNTING THE 'RAT BASTARDS' THAT ABUSED THEM.

A beautiful golden retriever mother was tied to a tree and shot
for trespassing on a ladies property. Her puppy was rescued by
the owner just in time.

quite admirable indeed ... good luck! no one better can speak and represent these creatures of tragedy ...
Keep doing what you are doing, being pro active and making everyone aware of what is going on out there...
