Thankfully, We Arrived Here Before This Winter’s Big Thaw,
And The Wonders of Nature Once Again Filled Me With Awe

Neither man nor dog were disappointed
In our latest journey to an ancient cave
Mother Nature has always inspired me
I still marvel at her wonders, every day
I felt as if we were way up in the Arctic
Thousands of miles away, from civilization
On a planet, not yet defiled, by modern man
This primitive beauty now filling me with elation
Huge pillars of ice, cascading down from the cliff tops
Where enormous waterfalls, had all hardened in place
A magical, enchanting, winter wonderland, of white ice
Such breathtaking beauty, Nature’s Winter Wonder Face
Each and every chamber of this cave, a different view
Such serene silence, only the crunch of ice, under feet
My nature loving canines, seemed as mesmerized, as I
I now thanked God, that such beauty, we could still see
Soon, I pictured men and their dogs, standing here, centuries ago
We could still hear their reverent whispers, echoing off these walls
The men were praying to their Creator, thanking Him for such a sight
Their faithful canines of long ago, as mine did, were marveling at it all
Neither man nor dog were disappointed,
In our latest journey to an ancient cave;
Mother Nature has always inspired me,
I still marvel at her wonders, every day.
