Forget these totally out of touch millionaire politicians
Who pompously proclaim that they’ll help our country
The people in America, who inspire me, these sad days
Are the ones toiling in the trenches - the soul of humanity
Some of them work tirelessly, to assist families in need
Others do everything they can, helping our homeless vets
Others donate their time and money, aiding disaster victims
And, there are also those like Tracie, rescuing abandoned pets
Tracie spends her time and money, rescuing dumped hunting dogs
Like every other type of abandoned pet, their numbers are on the rise
She so compassionately rounds them up, and gets them veterinary help
Then she finds them new homes; she has opened numerous unaware eyes
On any given Saturday, you will find Tracie, sitting in a grocery store parking lot
With an array of abandoned cats and canines, which she has brought back to health
She’s out there, hoping to find people who will adopt them, and give them some love
She also solicits donations from ordinary citizens, who give from the heart, not wealth
Her story has now been featured on the Care 2 Animal Welfare Website
And today, The Harmony Fund, is attempting to help her, with donations
