Lots Of Odes Are Being Penned These Days On A.D.,

I Owe Tom Hyland One, For Penning ‘Saint Pee Wee;’

Old Tom Is The Valiant Old Knight In Our Old Ed Family,

And, He Always Seems To Be Assisting Brother Jersey

“I see shadows and hear noises at night,

And I don’t know what to do!”

Old Jersey Devil Ed Matlack

Noble Old Sir Cur of Bawlmer was leaving a tavern

When he got a phone call in the middle of the night

“Hey Sir Cur, this is your favorite Cousin Jersey Ed,

I see shadows and I hear noises, fillin me with fright!”

“Now just calm down a bit, old Cousin Jersey Ed,

I will head your way, and attempt to help, if I can!”

Suddenly, the old Jersey Devil felt just a bit better

His heroic cousin, was known, throughout the land

As Old Sir Cur quickly sped onward, toward Landisville

He soon wondered, if he’d be battling demons or dragons

Perhaps they were poltergeists or aliens from another planet

But whatever they were, he felt very confident, he’d defeat them

When he finally arrived at his Cousin Ed’s motor home park

The full moon was shining down, and there was an eerie silence

His old cousin, the extremely terrified and perplexed, Jersey Devil

Rushed out to meet Sir Cur, soon whispering: “Listen! I hear it again!”

As these two old cousins now stood there, side by side, in the moonlight

A tiny field mouse peeked out from under mortified Jersey’s motor home

Now, the extremely valiant Old Sir Cur yelled: “Shoo, Little Mouse, Shoo!”

“Wow! Thanks a lot, Sir Cur! I think old Pee Wee should write you a poem!”

-The End-

OLD SIR PEEWEE ...

How'd U git that Lantern in my Hand? I guessed right about my pic!

Poor Ole Knave Joisey WUSS-A-Lot looks a lot like Adolph What's his-Name with that STOOPID mustache, don't he?

'Once upon a Mid-Night Dreary ...
Wuss-a-Lot was really Feary ...
Noises in the Nite had him Leary ...
Lil Field Mouse had him So Teary ...

Then, the Mouse That ROARED ...
On Da Devil's RV did Board ...
Joisey Screamed, like he'd been Gored ...
By a huge Bull, whose Horns had Scored ...

But, this lil Mouse, had more Sense ...
N' did Escape from Wuss's Malodorous Scents ...
He did Exclaim, "Yer Smell gives me Great Offense ...
For What it's Worth - That's my Two Cents!"

P.S. - Matlack, Ewe'r Welcome for the Defense ... BUT ...
Yew OWE me now, a Tank of Gas!

Cuz Old Sir Cur ... 'The ONE-ETH' ...

Cuz Pee Wee. I believe you need a hearing aid. The Old Cur actually muttered "Shoes little grouse, Shoes," referring to that grousing Jersey's ever stinky feet needing immediate cover after they had asphyxiated the demon hiding under the trailer and whose noisy death rattles went on for quite some time.
