Last month, a U.S. Forest Service employee
Laid out his many wolf traps up in the Rockies
He got a call one morning from a fellow trapper
“You got one in a leg trap, and this one is a Biggie!”
By the time that he got there, a joyous crowd had now formed
Several of them were taking pot shots at this suffering animal
The wolf stood there - trapped, wounded, bleeding in the snow
And the happy government employee yelled - “Don’t that beat all!”
This government trapper soon blogged about his kill:
‘Big Black Male, that went about a hundred pounds;
This one is gonna make me a real good Wall Hanger!’
Today, this Wolf Killer, is now a hero in his hometown
Yet strangely enough, until last spring, wolves had been protected
By our very own federal law, under The Endangered Species Act
But a very clever, very greedy, Congressman quickly changed this
By attaching a tiny rider to a humongous federal bill, just like that
You see, this Congressman gets a ton of money from the wolf haters
Elk hunters, who do not want to share their trophies, with any animal
And, corporate mining and cattle concerns, which hate everything ‘wild’
They rule our public lands and national parks now, and they want them all
And today, the same employees who were protecting the wolves last year
Are now the very ones bragging about their joyous wolf kills and trophies
Hundreds of wolves have already been trapped, and tortured, and killed
We have hideously become a very greedy, sadistic, animal hating, species
And very sadly to me, far more people are now praising our killing ways,
Than rising to the defense of our now hunted, and tortured, wildlife today.

If people are treated this way there is a public outcry, yet we are encouraged to treat other living things so disgustingly. It's beyond cruel. There are not the words to describe this deplorable behaviour.
