Dear Old Ma
Some members of AD have been asking
About Ed Matlack, AKA The Jersey Devil
He has not posted any poems in awhile now
It seems that my devilish brother has been ill
I talked to him on the telephone yesterday
He got sick again, and he’s in the hospital
But thankfully, he is doing much better now
And he’s now back on the road to being well
Ed asked me to let his friends in AD know that
He hopes to be back very soon, on Author’s Den
He was not sure what caused his latest bout of illness
But he wants to let everyone know that he’s on the mend
I told him that he has to stop eating that Road Kill
And dear old Ma told him to get a lot more exercise
He told us “Thanks for calling; now leave me alone!”
Such Ed Family Love always brings a tear to my eyes

The AKA New York devil knows that all will be OK in time.
But now this old NY devil has turned into somewhat of a saint.
I am much happier and don't want to go back the old life again.
So send him God's love and Gods speed for a fast recovery today!
Tell him the AKA "Pizza Man" is praying for him to get well right away.
