Young Owen suffers from a rare malady
It’s called Schwartz-Jampel, a genetic disease
Haatchi the dog, was tied to some railroad tracks
And left for dead, now he’s a three-legged amputee
Before Haatchi was adopted by this young boy’s father
Owen was completely withdrawn, afraid of the outdoors
Haatchi the dog, has now changed the world for his master
Owen now loves to talk to everyone, about the dog he adores
Once agoraphobic, and so terribly afraid, of speaking to anyone
Owen and Haatchi, now visit sick children and disabled veterans
This incredible bond between this little boy and his rescued friend
Prove to me that the unconditional love of a dog is truly heaven sent
Haatchi the dog’s amazing survival, and the positive impact he has had on Owen’s life
Have resulted in him winning an award from The International Fund for Animal Welfare
An organization dedicated to honoring Earth’s many truly remarkable non-human residents
