A Joyous Follow-up To:

Yet Another Little Lost Soul

“The ache for a home lives in all of us,

The safe place where we can go as we are,

And not be questioned.”

Music: There’s No Place Like Home

Found wandering a parking lot

Starving, frightened, so all alone

Today, this tiny deserving orphan

Has received, a loving new home

After several days of tender loving care

And, after being vaccinated and spayed

My spouse and I picked her up at the vet’s

And we drove her to her new home yesterday

It was as if she sensed her lonely days were over

She soon had an enormous grin on her furry face

She’s been adopted by a most compassionate family

She knew immediately, that she had found her place

This family has a young boy and another little canine

And they have all now welcomed her, with open arms

They care not at all, that she is not perfect or a pedigree

And I am overjoyed that she is now safe and out of harm

It usually takes us much longer to find homes for orphans

So many of them have been abandoned, and thrown away

If you would like to help a deserving dog like little Sweetie

Please consider adopting a needy street orphan like her today

The Ache For A Real Home,

Truly Does Live In All Of Us,

Including Man’s Best Friend.

Believe me, your daily poems of your doggie adventures are giving a lot of people the idea of adopting a lost soul. And the ones that you single out for your poems become instant stars and wanted by many.

Please keep up the good work. You are doing a great service to all the little animals out there abandoned and starving.

My daughters Yellow Lab was recently MIA
(she played escape artist with the back gate)
My daughter called all the shelters, and police
Nearly a week went by, and then the police department
called and told her about The Fire House Dog
...yep it was her baby!!
The Fireman took great care of her too :)
