-An Abandoned Dog’s Easter Tale-
“Be thou comforted little dog,
Thou too shall have a Resurrection.”

When I found him out on the street
He was starving, and almost dead
He is at least eight or nine years old
His spirit crushed, he felt only dread
He trudged about, with his head hung low
Garbage found in alleys, was his only food
He was very sadly ready, to give up on life
I didn’t know if we could improve his mood
He spent almost two weeks in the animal hospital
Cared for and bathed, and treated for his maladies
I traveled there to fetch him, the day before Easter
And his resurrection today, is quite miraculous to me
He greeted my spouse and I, with kisses and tail wags
He very joyously pranced out, and jumped into my truck
It was as if he knew, that he had somehow been resurrected
It was as if he knew in his heart and soul, he’d found some luck
Best of all, all of our former street orphans have graciously welcomed him
He has already found an understanding friend, in another resurrected canine
As I pen this, he’s happily cavorting in our backyard with his new pal, Highway
It’s a very joyous Easter for old Scruffy, his resurrection both uplifting and divine

This world needs to wake up and realize happiness is bundled up God's loving animals!
Buying things produce more worries! Dogs, cats and other furry creatures give unconditional love!
