This poor dog belonged to a young man

Who was kicked out of his mother’s home

He left her tied up, by his mother’s back door

Without a bit of food, while he went off to roam

Even though this chained dog cried incessantly for an entire month

This young man’s mother did nothing, to assist this starving canine

She finally called Animal Control, after this dog couldn't cry anymore

Our heartlessness is growing, a truly abysmal societal trait of our time

A pet rescue group has finally managed to gain custody of this emaciated creature

She is finally receiving the extensive medical care and compassion that she deserves

As I now so sadly wander both the urban and the rural areas of our once caring nation

I sadly see these signs of our ever growing human heartlessness, just about everywhere

Please Listen To Your Heart and Soul

Please Help Any Helpless Being In Need

Our World Grows More Heartless Everyday

All One Has To Do, Is Open Their Eyes and See
