-Yet Another Abysmal News Story Which Makes Me Sick-

“We used modern surveillance techniques and aerial photographs,

Which enabled us to see this deer going in and out of their barn!”

The Extremely Proud Commando Leader

Music:  Barrel Of A Gun

To employees, it looked like an all-out assault on a terrorist compound

As twelve fully armed commandos burst into The Society of St. Francis

A ‘No-Kill’ Animal Shelter in Wisconsin, which was harboring a fugitive

They proudly presented a Warrant, authorizing  them to search the premises

These armed DNR personnel rapidly herded the shelter employees into a corner

And, they quickly found their target – a completely innocent, newly born, fawn

“Looks like our surveillance really paid off!” shouted one of the joyous commandos

They killed their target, stuffed it in a body bag, and the happy commandos were gone

You see, in Wisconsin, it is illegal to harbor any kind of wildlife, even in an animal shelter

DNR cared not that shelter employees had already found a sanctuary for this orphan in Illinois

We now love waging an all-out war against completely innocent creatures in this nation of ours

Many people in America are applauding our extinction efforts, but they bring me sadness not joy

This newborn deer had been brought to this shelter just two weeks prior by a family who said that she had been abandoned by her mother.  This adorable little fawn also made funny little noises that made her sound like she was laughing all of the time, so shelter employees had joyously named her ‘Giggles.’

Shelter employees had already made arrangements with an Illinois Wildlife Preserve to take in this orphaned fawn, and it was hoped that this facility could slowly reintroduce her back into the wild.  Giggles had only one more day remaining at the animal shelter when the armed Department of Natural Resources (DNR) SWAT team burst into their facility and killed her.

Some of the St. Francis employees are now having nightmares about this horrendous commando raid on their ‘No-Kill Animal Shelter,’ and they cannot yet force themselves to remove dead little Giggles’ water bowl or baby bottle.

State ‘Leaders’ have not yet announced whether or not they plan to file criminal charges against The Society of St. Francis for harboring this tiny fugitive.

And I now so very sadly wonder what St. Francis would have to say about how we treat the innocent creatures in our nation today.

ED ... TRULY ATROCIOUS STORY!

PERHAPS YOU COULD SEND IT TO EVERY ILLINOIS NEWSPAPER & TV STATION, ASKING THEM TO OBTAIN THE ACTUAL NAMES OF THE DNA 'DEATH SQUAD' MEMBERS, AND PUBLISH THE LIST ALONG WITH THE STORY!

THESE RAT-BASTARDS DESERVE TO LOSE THEIR JOBS & BE PROSECUTED !!!

Sorry folks I disagree! This is government intervention at it's absolute worst. All was needed was a phone call to the Animal Shelter beforehand to find out the facts. Now these government idiots must feel like complete morons after this raid. Think of the time and energy wasted on cornering and killing a beautiful little fawn! This is absolutely insane! As a result of this incident laws MUST be changed. This fawn must not die in vain! I would write to my senators and congressmen about this insanity! NO MORE - we must take a stand!

Ed, I think this is the saddest story you've relayed to us about animal abuse...like Ronald said, I too am appalled.

Oh Eds, they deserve so much more than "theirs"! What could be more senseless than killing an innocent baby ANYTHING ...and with such a brutal, egotistical attitude. Where are these 'monster's' souls!

It is not for us to judge while on this plain of existence as God & St. Francis will judge them when their day comes to be before them...but we both know how WE would judge them...they will get theirs, as what goes around comes around...e
