“Every Dog Should Have Its Day.”

It has been only just one short week

Since we rescued her from the tracks

She lived out there for the past three years

Today, she is happy, with no worries, at last

Out on those tracks, she was often cold and hungry

She never knew, if she would ever find a new friend

Today, she is loved, and safe, and no longer starving

Today is ‘Her Day,’ and her lonely ordeal now at its end

And unlike we human beings, she doesn’t ask for much

She is extremely grateful now for having a plush new bed

A gentle touch, a kind word, a walk in the park, and a meal

Make all the difference in the world, and erase a dog’s dread

And there are sadly hundreds of abandoned dogs just like her

Waiting and hoping, for a new life, at a shelter, near your home

Please consider adoption, and giving one of these dogs ‘Their Day’
